Mother Tree

Mother Tree was a one evening project that almost painted itself, and knew immediately when it was done with me.

My daughter convinced me I needed to read the Ender's Game series. I'm a big fan of sci fi literature and wasn't all that impressed, but what I did like about the series is the symbiotic relationship between the environment and the humans crawling over and through it. Hence the inspiration for Mother Tree.

How can one stand beneath the fiery boughs of an entity that has lived several of our lifetimes and not feel humbled, honored, and connected?
