Planet San Francisco
Actual title: Adventures on the Planet San Francisco.
I worked for a printing company in 1994, and they sent me to a conference to review a laser scanner. Most of you won't know what that is, but it is the predecessor to the CCD cameras in your phones.
A friend in the industry from Texas was also there, and we met and explored Planet San Francisco together.
This drawing is not actually a drawing. It is scratched out of an exposed piece of commercial printing film with an etching needle, copied to a PMT (Photo Mechanical Transfer,) and partially colored with airbrush inks. I never found a use for airbrush inks in actual airbrush paintings, they never seemed to hold the color or depth of actual watercolor atomized through the brush, but they seemed to work very well in staining this PMT.
This is one of those drawings you have to get your face into, study what is happening, read the story, so it may not hold your fascination for very long. It does for me.
