Cleo had been abandoned on the back porch of the clinic with her three day old kittens, too starved to run away and very nearly dead. She was welcome to a loving home but the vet requested we keep her as an inside cat. There's something about an animal lounging in a warm space with a full belly, saved from a life of misery and death from starvation, that just demands painting. So I did. Original size 24" X 18".
